This online community was created as part of a semester long project for school, but the goal is for it to take on a life of its own.

 

It was made with the intention to inform on the harmful effects that the training of generative AI can have on creative fields and the people in them.

​

We were assigned to research an issue that was relevant to a local community. While AI has influence all over the world and impacts all writers, artists, and creators, I found that it resonated even with my local areas in NC specifically.

​

I have seen that the state's inaction regarding AI harming these individuals comes from a lack of awareness and concern. This can be seen from people's vulnerability to legal and ethical violations, which should be properly addressed by governmental systems.

​

The first step toward making change is to improve awareness of the significant consequences that artificial intelligence has had on areas that were once supposed to be safe for human expression.

​

Not only is this a space to stay educated on the issue, but where creators' can share their own perspectives, works, and connect and collaborate with others.

​

Discussions are not limited to certain topics as the content being produced is so varied, ranging from painting and digital art to sound design, filmmaking, etc.

 

We encourage you to share the impacts you have seen or experienced as well regardless of whether it is about copyright or discouragement from continuing making or publishing pieces.
